Metro Gold Line - Los Angeles to Pasadena
Before and After

  metro gold line
The Los Angeles to Pasadena Metro Blue Line Construction Authority (project was later changed to Metro Gold Line in November 2001) held a ground breaking ceremony in June 2000 to mark the beginning of construction on the 13.7-mile light rail project. The Construction Authority would complete the line on-time and under budget in 2003, and service to the public began in July 2003.  The photographs below illustrate how the Metro Gold Line project served as a catalyst to not only improve access to mass transit, but to revitalize infrastructure and the urban landscape.
